Biography

Dr. Paulins Faculty Insight

Dr. Paulins’ key areas of research encompass ethical decision making, with a focus on equity and social justice. She conducts research on the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL). Her teaching foci include branding, , merchandising/buying principles, merchandise assortment planning, and professional development in fashion, hospitality, and sport industries. She has extensive experience with project-based instruction, guiding peer-learning, and action research as components of student learning. Additionally, she holds deep partnerships with industry professionals who serve as resource experts for her teaching and research activities. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising (Ohio University), master’s degree in Textile Science (Ohio University), and doctoral degree in Consumer Aspects of Textiles and Clothing at The Ohio State University.
